Sales and Marketing Manager
Overview of role
The Demerara Life Group of Companies is looking for a talented individual to assume the role of Sales and Marketing Manager to position the Companies in the local and regional market by providing Life, Health, Pension and General Insurance products (Fire, Motor, and Liability) and services for corporate entities and individuals; as well as investment solutions to retirement funds for individuals and groups.
Job description
The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic positioning of the companies and contribute to its Marketing growth by working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Sales Force and focusing on the following key areas;
- Increase in Sales for all lines of business
- Market Share and Market Segmentation
- Product Development
- Stakeholder Relationship Management, Sales and Service
- Budgetary Control
- Sales Training
- Brand Image
- High Performance Culture of the Sales Force
- Sales recruitment and agency development
Requirements, Education and Experience
Education
- A relevant Marketing degree
- Recognized insurance qualifications would be an asset
Experience
- Sound knowledge and any experience in sales / marketing and knowledge in the domestic and international life and general insurance environment would be an asset.
- Proven background in managerial leadership, business analysis and report writing as well as manpower planning and development, development of new business accounts, and leading management teams towards the achievement of defined business objectives

Senior Accounts Clerk
- Review accuracy of accounting data
- General ledger posting and reconciliation of accounts
- Assist in preparation of financial reports
- 5 CSEC subjects
- Pursuing CAT/diploma in accounts would be an asset
- 2 years experience in accounting and finance.
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
